Editorial & review policy.

Know what a profile can tell you.

School facts and source checks.

School records start with supplied lists. Website reviews add published programs, aircraft categories, and an original editorial assessment where accessible official material supports them. Profiles identify the pages and check date. School-wide offerings are distinguished from campus-specific availability; a multi-campus provider may publish different aircraft tracks at different locations. When a website is inaccessible or lacks enough detail, the limitation is identified and earlier source information is retained. Training framework notes distinguish an official school statement from supplied-roster or directory information. Course approvals and location availability should be confirmed directly before enrollment.

FAA roster checks.

The reference source is faa.gov. We match the dated FAA workbook records by certificate number and location designator, then review campus identity and location. The FAA facility dashboard is linked for future cross-reference; it is not a separate approval roster for Part 61 instruction. The profile shows the roster date, check date, certificate references, and any unresolved discrepancy. A certificate shared by several campuses is not automatically applied to each location. An absent record does not establish closure or revocation. The roster check does not verify every advertised course or evaluate training quality.

Original, AI-assisted descriptions.

Descriptions and training-fit assessments are original summaries of identified material. AI assists with synthesis and writing. Our school review discusses published offerings, training fit, and practical questions; it is not a firsthand review, accreditation decision, safety rating, or recommendation based on an inspection.

How review evidence is handled.

Every school has a dated review-research result. Summaries use identifiable review pages, student discussions, or published survey reports. We distinguish the selected campus from provider-wide and university-wide feedback, and flight training from tours, rentals, maintenance, or employment. Search excerpts are identified when a full review page cannot be read. School-selected testimonials are labeled separately. Praise and concerns are paraphrased from the cited comments; a concern is not invented to balance positive feedback.

When evidence is not sufficient.

A limited result may contain university-wide feedback, a small sample, a rating without readable comments, or indexed excerpts. An unavailable result means the checked material did not establish a usable student-review sample; it does not mean no reviews exist or that a school has closed. Ratings, when displayed, are attributed to one source with its scope, count and snapshot date. We do not calculate a combined score or publish third-party ratings as our own structured-data rating. AOPA surveys are voluntary respondent evidence. Anonymous comments and self-selected reviews do not establish typical outcomes. Rankings, tuition figures, and AI search overviews are not treated as student experiences.

Copyright and original assets.

The site uses original code, layout details, editorial prose, AI-generated illustrative aviation imagery and original vector illustrations in its training advertisements. It does not reproduce another directory’s school descriptions, page designs, photographs, or logos. School and organization names identify the source or provider. External links let readers consult the original material. Illustrative images do not depict the listed schools.

Online training and published coverage.

Online-training pages summarize the scope described by providers and link to their current information. Free reference materials, full ground schools, and focused practice courses are identified by type. Aviation briefings use short original synopses and practical takeaways, with the original publisher, publication date, source link, and our own preparation date. This is a curated collection; it does not update automatically or reproduce publishers’ articles.

Directory ordering.

School lists use a randomized default order on a fresh visit. That order remains consistent while a visitor filters or changes result pages. Alphabetical and location sorts are available. Position is not a quality ranking, a recommendation, or a paid placement.

Corrections and freshness.

Training offerings, school names, prices, and approval details change. Email proposed corrections to info@flightschoolus.com with the school name, city and state, the FlightSchoolUS listing URL, and a current official supporting URL. The listing update worksheet can help organize those details; download it and attach it to your email. You can also use the listing-correction form on our Contact page. The worksheet does not send itself or publish changes automatically. Changes require editorial checking against source material.

Commercial separation.

Affiliate relationships do not create a higher school ranking or a stronger review conclusion. Where a tracked affiliate link is active, the disclosure appears nearby and the link is marked as sponsored. Homepage schools rotate without paid placement.

FAA reference source.

faa.gov — Find a Facility Dashboard. Use the pilot school facility records to cross-reference Part 141 certificate and location information. Part 61 describes a training framework and is not itself FAA school certification.
